My Thoughts on Bullying

I remember back in elementary school many kids would tease each other and make funny names but in the end of the day everyone would forget and bullying never got serious. However, I soon discovered that in middle school things were different because bullying was used as a tool to hurt others. Many of the bullies were bigger kids trying to use their imposing height or strength as a measure to not be bullied themselves and fit in. Although I never hurt anyone I remember walking in the hallway one afternoon and one of my peers, which was a short shy girl surrounded by two older girls bullying her. Even though I was just a bystander I soon felt guilty for not standing up for the girl being bullied but just walking away not wanting to get myself in trouble. I would later realize that bulling is a big deal and a simple confrontation might mean more because after reading a book called Thirteen Reasons Why I saw how bullying can even lead to suicide and its up to anyone to help someone out and help them realize that they are not alone.

My Favorite Movies

My favorite movie of all time is Up which is just the perfect balance of romance, sadness, imagination, friendship and contains no age boundary. The cartoonish movie provides a sense of adventure and hope that even when losing a loved one not everything is lost by finding a friend no matter the age. It allows for imagination to happen not only on screen but to go outside and make one wonder if it would really be possible to fly in your balloon-tied-home. The movie is comical and really a fun grabs your attention with the bright colors and also with the amount of detail placed behind each character.
Another great movie in my opinion is Catching Fire because after reading The Hunger Games series I could recall that many of the important details in the books were captured. The movie involves adventure as well as mystery in the very end making people like me watching the movie sit in the edge of our seats. It grabbed my attention due to the enormous amount of details not only in the setting and characters but also in the great work placed upon the costumes and make-up. All in all I would recommend both movie to any friend looking for a great movie to watch with the family.
