What I Learned from An Inconvenient Truth
Al Gore's An Inconvenient Truth is a very powerful documentary stressing the danger our generation faces with the rapid global changes worldwide. When the research demonstrated the increasing changes in temperature a fact that really got to me was realizing that today in California (just a couple years after this documentary) we are facing one of the many consequences which is the drought and reduced water supplies. It was hard to realize that global warming is a problem affecting the entire world including me and it falls into the responsibility of the new generation to solve it. In addition, it was interesting that with the melting of the poles, the rising sea level would rise along the coasts washing away countries and cities including Los Angeles. Lastly, an interesting point that connected with the whole concept of existentialism was how tiny the planet Earth is compared to the universe but how we take it all for granted.
