My Name is John Merrick...

Today was the day of my visit to the theater and I had a splendid time. I had never been to such a marvelous place with ceilings that reach the sky, angel-like music and never in my life had I felt so alive and felt proud of who I am because for once in my life the staring didn't bother me. When Ms. Kendall, The famous theater actress dedicated the show to me it was an honor, I couldn't believe that not so long ago I was nothing more than an ugly monster. I honestly couldn't believe such a wonderful woman would somehow look past my deformity and treat me like a man. All my life I have been treated like a horrible monster just by the way I look but today when watching that performance, it was the best day of my life. Dr. Treves has been my real friend since the start and for that I am grateful because friends are rare. My only wish was for others to see the real me and have friends which was exactly what I  realized today sitting next to Princess Alexandria. I will die happy because my last day was a dream come true.
